The Swingaroos are NYC’s Midwestern-Born, New Orleans-bound, Hollywood-exploited Territory Band. Vocalist Kimberly Hawkey leads a dynamic crew of the finest in NYC’s swing scene, forming a youthful, high-energy replica of a small touring band from the 20s, 30s or 40s. The Swingaroos light up the joint with award-winning vocals and savvy musicianship by artists who have appeared in person at Birdland, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blue Note, and other top-tier establishments. Reflecting the versatility of original Territory Bands, this group is equally at home in dance halls, dive bars, jazz clubs and theatrical venues, offering a dance program and/or a cabaret set complete with vaudeville undertones. Regardless of the setting or occasion, Kimberly Hawkey & The Swingaroos delight in spreading hot jazz and joy to the hip and hungry masses with their own brand of original songs, Hollywood hits and jukebox favorites.
